General Comments
Mavens, you have accepted the enormous challenge of preparing Hero's and Beatrice's weddings, knowing that you are the "best in your business," wedding planning. Each and every Maven, therefore, MUST put her full effort into the success of the happy occasion. If this special day is going to be the most important memory in Hero's and Beatrice's lives, every Maven's unique area of expertise, gifts, talents, and abilities MUST complement one another to provide the lovely brides the spectacular weddings that will be the talk of Messina, Sicily, for many years to come (You MUST, therefore, literally immerse yourselves into this exciting era in literature so that the product, the presentation, and the writing components of this Final Assessment showcase your comprehensive knowledge/competency in this course.). To ensure your success, each group MUST consult with the CEO of the Renaissance Mavens (AKA Mrs. DeStefano) ONE WEEK prior to your comprehensive presentation to Hero and Beatrice, which may NOT exceed ONE HOUR.
Deadline
ALL Mavens MUST begin working immediately to meet the prescribed deadlines. Any Maven who causes her particular group to miss a deadline will forfeit part of her profit on this wedding project (IN OTHER WORDS, SHE WILL BE PENALIZED ONE FULL GRADE FOR EACH DAY OF LATENESS.).

Presentation
In order to set the Renaissance mood, Mavens, I have secured permission from "She Who Must Be Obeyed" (AKA Dean of Student Affairs) for you to use your Renaissance names and wear your period costumes on the day of your presentation. Remember, since you are THE last word in Renaissance fashion (not to mention all your other areas of expertise), you yourselves MUST be dressed "to the nines."


Keep in mind, Mavens, the presentation MUST go off without a single hitch for your company to have maintained its Best of Messina status and for your CEO (AKA Mrs. DeStefano) to consider her most important clients, Hero and Beatrice, "satisfied customers" (In other words, NO "fiddling" with hair/clothing to distract your audience. NO hesitation whatsoever in your speech, which may mislead your audience to believe you do NOT "know your stuff." Absolutely NO lecturing format! Interaction with your audience is a MUST! NO technical problems AT ALL! A "dress rehearsal" for each group in Room 401 with all the technological equipment in Room 401 is, therefore, highly recommended. Because equipment can vary slightly, please do NOT use PC's or MAC's at home or in any other room at school.).

Writing
Clearly, Hero and Beatrice more than appreciate the tangible "products" created for their wedding ceremonies. In order for them to share every little detail with Leonato--after all, he is "writing the check"-- and their fiances, Claudio and Benedick, respectively, the blushing brides-to-be also expect a detailed, comprehensive, written accompaniment, which reads as the epitome and the elegance of the "Queen's English" (In other words, although the nature of each Maven's written work is unique, each Maven MUST employ all the conventions of excellent expository and creative writing at her disposal. Since each "composition" relies heavily on secondary critical sources, each Maven MUST strictly adhere to MLA format, which requires proper headings, consecutive pagination, citations for direct quotations and/or paraphrases and a Works Consulted OR Works Cited page.).
